OUR LEGACY... OUR FRONTIER

Connecting the past of San Juan Govt South Sec. with the digital future of its alumni network.

The San Juan Government Secondary School Alumni Association (SJGSSAA) was officially founded in 2012, marking the formal beginning of a structured, connected network dedicated to service and community upliftment. The initial vision was simple yet profound: to harness the collective success and experience of graduates to directly support the next generation of students and ensure the continued excellence of the institution that shaped us.

The last few years has seen the SJGSSAA evolve into a dynamic force for change, shifting focus to align with the needs of the Digital Frontier. Recognizing the growing necessity for technological literacy, our initiatives has pivoted towards resource investment, funding technology upgrades for the school, and, most recently, establishing the Digital Pioneer Scholarship Fund. This commitment ensures that talent is always prioritized over financial background, empowering deserving students to pursue higher education in a rapidly changing world.

Today, the SJGSSAA stands as a testament to the enduring bond of the school’s graduates. We operate with a forward-looking perspective, committed to sustaining the legacy of our founders while actively investing in the digital preparedness and academic success of every student who walks the halls of San Juan Government Secondary School.

PIONEERING LEADERSHIP

The Foundation (2012) Founded in 2012, the SJGSSAA was established to transform the collective success of our graduates into a structured force for good, under the pioneering leadership of our first President, Gary Cardinez. Under the stewardship of our current President Stacey T Bowen, we are transitioning to beyond social networking to create a robust framework for mentorship and institutional support, ensuring the excellence of San Juan Government Secondary remains a priority for every generation.

THE DIGITAL FRONTIER MISSION

The Digital Pivot Over the last decade, we have evolved to meet the demands of a changing world. Recognizing the necessity of technological literacy, our mission shifted toward the Digital Frontier. We have prioritized funding for critical tech upgrades and the establishment of the Digital Pioneer Scholarship Fund, ensuring that academic talent is never sidelined by financial constraints.
